Hoteliers pas op, ze zijn er weer! Van verschillende kanten kregen we opmerkingen over dubieuse email aanvragen.Trap er niet in! zie hier voor meer voorbeelden uit het verleden.
Helaas hebben we geen filter oplossing voor deze SPAM, want het zijn steeds weer anderen afzenders.

I inquire for reservation for 6 delegates coming for a seminar in your
country and wish to stay in your property. The delegates will be arriving in
your country on the 8th of February 2010 and will stay in your property from
the aforementioned date through the 18th of January 2010. I would like you
to get back to me with the following.
1. The availability of the dates
2. The Daily cost for the required dates
3. The total cost for the length of their stay.
4. Do you accept Credit Card payment?
The arrival date for the delegates once more will be 8th of February 2010
and they will depart on the 18th February 2010. However,their stay will last

Update: 22 november j.l. kregen we de volgende waarschuwing van een Weekendhotel binnen:
Tot tweemaal toe heeft een zekere Arthur een langere boeking proberen vast te leggen met daaraan verbonden een grote vooruitbetaling! Het voorstel is steeds dat het gehele bedrag per cheque wordt overgemaakt. Bij een andere betalingsvoorstel haakt deheer Arthur af. Hij opereert onder het mailadres a.bibby11@yahoo.com
Onderstaande een voorbeeld die we in september binnen kregen van verschillende weekendhotels. De email conversatie die vervolgens wordt opgestart heeft weinig interesse in de kamers en andere praktische zaken maar spitst zich vooral toe op aanbetalingen via creditcard.
Als je daarop ingaat zeggen ze een betaling te hebben gedaan die niet correct was, daarna vragen ze aan u geld terug over te maken (en dat ziet u dus nooit meer terug).
Bijna niemand trapt hier in maar toch blijven ze het proberen………
De eerste email:
Hi,
I am an agent with Carve Consultancy, 2 Farringdon Road, London, EC1M 3HN seeking for
accomodation in your place. The accommodation required is 4 double rooms to sleep 4
Deligates for 10 nights. The dates desired are October 20th 2009 to October 30th 2009 ( 10nights).
If the desired dates are available, please reply me, stating your group discounted reservation,including all taxes and rates,also the subtotal for the 10 nigths. we will make Advance payment through credit card payment, Indicate if you accept credit card payment.

Ik heb ook al herhaaldelijk soortgelijke,dubieuse emails ontvangen; vooruitbetaling per credit card; langer verblijf; in slecht Engels geschreven.
Het komt ook altijd opdringerig over.
Totaal niet op in gaan is mijn advies.

Heb zulke mails de laatste maanden verschillende malen ontvangen. Dit zijn duidelijk oplichters en versturen vooral vanuit Londen hun mails.

Ik heb een Bed & Breakfast, de waarschuwing heb ik ook al ontvangen van BedandBreakfast.nl
De e-mail adressen zijn vaak gefingeerd, ze opereren meestal vanuit uit oostbloklanden of het Afrikaanse continent met een yahoo adres.
Er zijn al meldingen geweest van zenden van checks van aanbetaling,met daarop enkele dagen op volgend een mail dat helaas de boeking niet door kan gaan of van deze strekking, NIET op reageren, ondanks dat uw bank deze check in eerste instantie soms aannemen maar naderhand u een bericht sturen dat deze checks niet gedekt zijn. Nooit geld sturen en nooit een creditcardnummer geven.
Helaas is het soms lastig om echte gasten er uit te halen, let op de geschreven Engelse taal er staan soms veel spellingfouten in.

Ik kreeg jaren geleden een tip van een ervaren B&B uitbaatser en die luidde: als je een aanvraag voor een verblijf binnenkrijgt langer dan drie regels dan komt die meestal van een oplichter en kan je hem meteen deleten. Dat doe ik sindsdien ook (nadat ik hem wel even gelezen heb…).
Het scheelt een hoop tijd!

Ja, het is een plaag. Ik heb al heel veel van dergelijke mails ontvangen.
Een criterium is dat ze altijd zeggen dat ze vooraf willen betalen met de creditcard. Daar reageer ik nooit op.
Als je het niet vertrouwd mail je terug dat betalingen allen contant gaan.
Als het dan niet te goeder trouw is haken ze vanzelf af.

we kregen ook al drie tal keer reservatie voor meerdere personen voor 2 weken.;altijd supervoorstellen, van super cardiologen en dgl..
Het feit al dat ze niet kunnen lezen (we hebben slechts één kamer!!!!) getuigt al van hoe dom ze zijn…

Wij hebben dit ook al gekregen, dus pas op als je deze mail krijgt, meestal wel met een andere naam maar het adres is hetzelfde.

ook wij zijn benaderd.
deze mensen wilden met de kerst voor 10 dagen komen, maar de reis zou dan met een cheuqe vooruit naar mij toe betaald, worden, geld daarna overmaken waarna zij de tickets etc. konden kopen.
ik heb gewoon gezogd, cash en de helf vooruit op een rekening storeten, niet gestort…geen boeking….dus, niets meer gehoord.
maar wel lastig, zulke geintjes
