Hoteliers pas op, ze zijn er weer! Van verschillende kanten kregen we opmerkingen over dubieuse email aanvragen.Trap er niet in! zie hier voor meer voorbeelden uit het verleden.
Update: 9 december, weer een variant op “a reservation for delegates”
Greetings,
I inquire for reservation for 6 delegates coming for a seminar in your
country and wish to stay in your property. The delegates will be arriving in
your country on the 8th of February 2010 and will stay in your property from
the aforementioned date through the 18th of January 2010. I would like you
to get back to me with the following.
1. The availability of the dates
2. The Daily cost for the required dates
3. The total cost for the length of their stay.
4. Do you accept Credit Card payment?
The arrival date for the delegates once more will be 8th of February 2010
and they will depart on the 18th February 2010. However,their stay will last
for 10 Nights/days.
Do get back to me with the requirement as stated above.

I got interested when I saw your house on www.weekendhotel.nl.My family (my wife and my only son) will like to move over to your country for their three weeks holidays,they will arrive on 5th June,2010 and will depart on 26th June 2010.We will like to book for two bedrooms in your apartment.So get back to me with the total cost of their stay in Great British Pounds, if the dates are available.Payment will be made by one of our sponsor via his Certified Bank Cheque. Update: 22 november j.l. kregen we de volgende waarschuwing van een Weekendhotel binnen:
Tot tweemaal toe heeft een zekere Arthur een langere boeking proberen vast te leggen met daaraan verbonden een grote vooruitbetaling! Het voorstel is steeds dat het gehele bedrag per cheque wordt overgemaakt. Bij een andere betalingsvoorstel haakt deheer Arthur af. Hij opereert onder het mailadres a.bibby11@yahoo.com
Onderstaande een voorbeeld die we in september binnen kregen van verschillende weekendhotels. De email conversatie die vervolgens wordt opgestart heeft weinig interesse in de kamers en andere praktische zaken maar spitst zich vooral toe op aanbetalingen via creditcard.
Als je daarop ingaat zeggen ze een betaling te hebben gedaan die niet correct was, daarna vragen ze aan u geld terug over te maken (en dat ziet u dus nooit meer terug).
Bijna niemand trapt hier in maar toch blijven ze het proberen………

Hi,
I am an agent with Carve Consultancy, 2 Farringdon Road, London, EC1M 3HN seeking for
accomodation in your place. The accommodation required is 4 double rooms to sleep 4
Deligates for 10 nights. The dates desired are October 20th 2009 to October 30th 2009 ( 10nights).
If the desired dates are available, please reply me, stating your group discounted reservation,including all taxes and rates,also the subtotal for the 10 nigths. we will make Advance payment through credit card payment, Indicate if you accept credit card payment.

Thanks for getting back to me with details to my request.I have made other arrangements with a nearby hotel for another 2 single rooms to sleep two person.I have also just spoken with the deligates to be expected at your hotel,and they are ok with your offers.
Therefore, i would love you to send to me the Total Cost Of Stay For The 1 Double Rooms For The 10nights,so that we can make an advanced payment with credit card immediately, and also forward to you the names of the expected deligates for your records.
