Find the countryside ambiance at Farmhouse “Aan de Reef”, situated at a distance of only 16km from Amsterdam. From the guest house, you have a beautiful view at the natural reserve ‘De Reef’. It’s an important brooding area for meadow birds, a must for nature lovers! The attraction of the area is the combination of the wide landscape, typical Zaanse wooden houses and wooden clocks, 17th century wind mills and industrial monuments along the river ‘de Zaan’. It’s very easy to visit Amsterdam by train (10 min) and one of Holland’s top tourist destinations the 'Zaanse Schans'(5 km). You can reach the beach in 1 hour by bike or 20 min by car. You can also enjoy the nature by bicycle tour, kayak, boat etc. Our farmhouse is characterized by the square single roof construction which is typical for the north-west region of the Netherlands. The guest house (ca. 130m²) used to be a hay loft from which the cows were fed during winter. Now, it is a luxurious accommodation (max. 5 persons).
