Back to the 19th century one can stay in a pre-war decorated room, the former sleeping room of the notary with view from the balcony over the landscapegarden of the mansion. It is in walking distance from the Unesco heritage Waddensea.
Lounge with library, piano and filmscreen. Breakfast in the breakfast room or garden room. Restaurant with Michelin-star in the village. (if forgotten: ties and umbrellas available) Two other star-restaurants within 15 car-minutes. Bicycles available. See also: www.oosterhouw.nl

Inclusive: every saterday evening from 15 May until 15 September we offer you a concert in the 12th century Petruschurch where Dutch organists play the famous Hinsz-organ.
Midweek idea:The large literairy library is also your lounge and house-cinema. Advise: Visconti's IL GATTO PARDO ! Bad weather becomes an advantage.
Romeo & Juliet idea:During your stay you can invite (Dutch) friends for breakfast, lunch or dinner or, if weather is fine tea or picknick in the 2,5 acre garden. We welcome your own (preferably creative)ideas.

We regret that our entourage is less suitable for kids. But... what is nicer to enjoy one time without kids the Groninger Museum for modern art or the Open Air Museum at Warffum. Other small possibilities are the Wierdenmuseum at Ezinge or the Cloistermuseum at Aduard.
Meeting idea:You want to meet all your overseas friends? We offer possibilities for between 10 and 60 persons. The whole mansion and 2,5 acre garden we open for your guests. Advise: a French-Italian lunch or a high tea. (see photo 7)

Heel bijzonder hotel met zeer vriendelijk personeel en prachtige tuinen.. Binnen is ook veel te zien. Zeer goed verzorgd ontbijt.
