B&B “de Vlaamse Gaai” is a renovated farm, built in 1920 and situated in a very rural area. The large garden with a lot of greenness radiates rest. The “Vlaamse Gaai” is managed by two Belgians, who came to this region in 1981.

Besides 2 guest rooms, the guesthouse disposes of a large garden (± 5000 square meters) with terrace, a built-in balcony and a separated room where guests can enjoy an extensive breakfast in the morning and where they can watch the tv or make use of the large information library. Each room has 2 single beds and a washbasin. The bathroom (with shower and 2 washbasins) and the toilet are on the landing.
Also on the landing is the built-in balcony from where you have a splendid view. Especially in the summer it’s nice to enjoy the sun and the view.
When the weather is fine, you can have your breakfast outside.

The region is well-known for its megalithic tombs. As a matter of course the region has a lot to offer and is excellent for walking and cycling! In close proximity to the “Vlaamse Gaai” you’ll find accommodations for swimming, fishing, playing golf, canoeing and horseback riding.

If you want to visit a town nearby, there are lots of possibilities.
Assen, the capital of Drenthe where the world-famous tt-races take place, is about 25 kms away.
If you want to visit Emmen, where you can find the nicest zoo of Europe, you only have to drive 25 kms.
Even Groningen, the capital of the province with the same name and the biggest city in the North of Holland, is at a distance of hardly 45 kms.

Erg mooi B&B met zeer vriendelijke mensen. Ligging is mooi, iets afgelegen maar voor ons was dat geen probleem. Het ontbijt was heel goed, en lekker.

Gastvrije ontvangst. Het totaal plaatje krijgt van ons 8/9. voor ons een plek nog een terug te komen.
