Our B&B is located at one of the most beautiful sites at a unique wetland environment near the center of Amsterdam. It’s a silent place with a astonishing view both on ij river and the old pittoresque Amsterdam Wood Harbour. This is one of the best places for a relax stay and to start visiting the center of Amsterdam.
Our B&B is just new and renovated in 2009. Its surface is 65m2 with it’s own luxuary kitchen, dining room and bathroom. It is just a 10 to 15 minutes walk to Amsterdam Central Station and to most touristic places like the much loved historical “Jordaan” area, the ancient center of Amsterdam, Anne Frank house, one of the nicest shopping area of Amsterdam called “Haarlemmerstraat” and lots of good restaurants. At arrival we will provide you with a list of things you “must have seen”.
Our B&B is in the historical “Stone Silodam”. The “Stone Silodam” has been built in the year 1896. Its design is from the architect Mr Jacob Klinkhamer. In the year 2001 the historical monument has been restorated and is separated into nice appartments. Our B&B is located on the fifth floor. There is no place in Amsterdam where the sunset is so beautiful.
Next-door to the old “Stone Silodam” a “new” architectural world famous building has been constructed on concrete pillars over the water. It is nice to have such beautiful new architecture around you. Even more architectural highflyers are arising next-door to Silodam e.g. the Amsterdam Flatiron Building (see picture gallery).
@ Silodam you will find joy and pleasure. Pure Relaxation on the waterfront !!! And all that just a 10 min walk away from the City Center.
