This cute, cosy studio loft apartment on the top floor is situated in what is often described as Amsterdam's equivalent of the ‘Quartier Latin’ in Paris, called ‘de Pijp’.

The loft is very light and comfortable and it's thus extremely suitable for work as well as recreation. It is stylishly furnished and decorated. The studio has an open kitchen, a double bed, dinner table with two comfortable chairs and a tv. The kitchen is fully equipped with a mini-fridge and a small microwave/hot air oven.

In the (private) bathroom there is a toilet, a washbasin and a shower cabin. Guests receive a set of keys and can enter freely through a separate entrance, guaranteeing complete privacy.

Do keep in mind that the apartment is up a couple of flights in one of Amsterdam’s typical staircases, making it unsuitable for large/heavy luggage. It is possible however to leave luggage with your host who resides on the ground floor.

It is only a five minute walk removed from the Museumplein (Museum Square) where the city's most prominent museums (the Rijksmuseum and the Van Gogh museum) are located.

The nearest entrance to the Vondelpark is well within walking distance and the rai is also easy to reach. Both the Albert Cuyp market and the Heineken brewery are just around the corner.

The neighborhood is rich in establishments varying from old-fashioned ‘brown cafés’, Surinam and Indonesian takeaways to specialized restaurants of many kinds.

The hosts are two brothers, one a student of Asian language with a keen interest in graphic design and art, the other a painter and craftsman. Their cleanly nature is reflected in the pristine state the apartment is in. They will be there, ready and happy to help out with any possible questions or requests.

We stayed at the second studio loft in the Oud Zuid (Rietvelt). The studio is very nicely decorated. We can immediately tell that the place is well kept. It was very clean, bright, airy. The balcony is very pretty and cozy. We can eat outside while enjoying the sun/breeze. The hostess was very nice and informative. She's very kind to even offered to book us dinner reservation. The host also has a few books about Amsterdam, map, etc in the apartment. Very handy! I brought the books for our references (well thought details!). Kitchen is available for us to do some basic cooking. Tea, breakfast, coffee, condiments are all provided. One block from the apartment there's a tram station. Conveniently the tram goes to the Museumplein then straight to the City center. The area is quiet, which is what we love. There's a supermarket only a couple of blocks away. We would stay there if we have the chance.

Sympathieke eigenaren, heel behulpzaam. leuke buurt met veel restaurantjes en bars Studio heel schoon met lekker bed, heerlijke douche goed ontbijt in de koelkast alles was goed verzorgd.
