Why stay at our design B&B?
If you want to desire a 'home away from home in Amsterdam' experience may seek out our bed and bed breakfast near the canal just outside the centre of Amsterdam. Our b&b is owned and operated independently (rented by owner). Our inn is our private home that has been renovated in 2006 for use as a lodging for travellers all over the world. Our guest who prefer a bed and bed breakfast to a hotel say that the more intimate atmosphere is our major selling point. We provide a personal touch in our services. Design rooms of the bed and breakfast

- located on the second floor in our guesthouse.
- You have your own table and chairs and free coffee making facilities, bathrobes and Wifi.
In our kitchen we serve your breakfast, lunch or dinner or cooking class. In good weather you can breakfast in our garden. In the kitchen are changing exhibitions contemporary Dutch art exhibited. The bathroom is located between the rooms. During your stay we also offer romantic dinners and culinary packages including breakfast with champagne, room service, guest at the table or romantic dinner.
The Klimt suite
- a luxury King Size bed (220x 200 cm)
- at the waterfront of the 1895 inn. The suite has a luxurious box spring King Size bed 220x 200 cm with - canal view in the direction Watergraafsmeer birds. - The suite is approximately 5x6 m2 and has lots of light.
The Mucha room
of our bed and breakfast is a excellent quality bed of 180x 200 cm. The room is approximately 12m2 and is located at the quiet backside of the accommodation.
The advantages of our bed breakfast are:
There are many restaurants, quaint little shops and local markets nearby;
- Near the center: tram 9 with you in 12 minutes from cs with us (Pretorius Street stop). With 15 minutes you find yourself at the famous Albert Cuyp daymarket. Tram stop is within 75 meter for the B&B.
- Near Amsterdam public transport: The Muiderpoort and Amstel Trainstation are within walking distance. From Schiphol Airport you are in 25 minutes at the bed and breakfast. Paid parking is almost always possible in front of the lodging.
- Near 3 city parks, Franckendael Oosterpark and by bike (bicycle rental at the corner) are you in nature and law-paths around Amsterdam
Public pool is at 100 meter from the Bed en Breakfast.
You can rent a bike (50 meter) nearby to go around like the Dutch do.

We (couple and adult daughter) really enjoyed our stay at De Vliegende Kok, it is an excellent place. We were warmly welcomed by Willie who was standing in for the owners, who also helped us with suggestions for travel and restaurants. The place is well designed, well organised and very clean and offers a great breakfast. It is located in a quiet neighbourhood yet very conveniently for the town centre, via tram 9. We would stay again at the Vliegende Kok.

We namen beide kamers. wc en badkamer tussen beide kamers in gelegen, moesten we delen, maar dit was absoluut geen probleem daar absoluut netjes. Uitgebreid ontbijt, lekker en vers. Zeer vriendelijke en discrete ontvangst. Vooral de Gustav Klimt kamer is erg mooi, maar beide kamers waren comfortabel en keurig onderhouden. Erg nuttige tips aanwezig (o.a. over parkeren en restaurants). Mooi gelegen aan een idilische gracht met aan de overzijde een zeer leuk en lekker restaurantje Quatfass.

Door de hartelijke verwelkoming door de gastvrouw voel je je direct thuis in deze B&B. De kamers zijn gezellig ingericht, en van alle gemakken voorzien. Een absulute aanrader vanwege de gastvrijheid, maar ook vanwege het heerlijke ontbijt!

het is zeker aan te raden,goede ligging tram vlakbij, en ook zo weer in het centrum zeker een keer doen.
