On the edge of a small hamlet called Nauerna, you find B&B ‘de Bedstee’.
The name ‘Bedstee’ refers to the original 19th century ‘cupboard bed’ in one of the rooms.
Built in 1880, the ‘Zaandam’ farm was thoroughly renovated in 1983 and had several
different functions over the years.
Till 1990, for instance, it was a place where ladies of ‘light morals’offered their ‘art’ for sale
and the farm was known - to particularly taxi drivers - as ‘de Bedstee’.
Thereafter, it was occasionally inhabited for a while and since 1993
it is the property of René Kouwenberg and Peter Smolders who decided to offer
some of the rooms they rarely used as Bed & Breakfast.
With a wink to the past, the name became once again ‘de Bedstee’.

‘de Bedstee’ exists of two rooms, a large toilet in the corridor,
a small kitchen and upstairs a spacious bathroom.

Een verblijf in De Bedstee is een zeer leuke ervaring. Het is er schoon, knus en gezellig. Peter en Rene zijn heel aardig en gastvrij en hebben 's ochtends voor een heerlijk ontbijt gezorgd. Toen wij vrijdagavond na het diner in Het Wapen van Assendelft terugkwamen in De Bedstee, branden de lantaarns (met kaarsen) in de bomen, heel romantisch. Echt aan te bevelen!

een adres om te onthouden : héél gezellig, mix van vroeger en nu, met alle comfort, gewaarborde privacy, met oog voor detail door de uitbaters, héél vriendelijk onthaal
